It’s Literacy Week! We have many fun activities and events planned all week. Today, students from Hampton Middle School are coming to read to our students. On Wednesday, everyone can come to school dressed as their favourite storybook character. On Thursday, students can bring their beach towels and sunglasses as they will be reading with a buddy class at “A Shore Thing” our pretend beach. On Friday, we are hoping to have guest family readers come in to read in each class. If you can come read in your child’s class, please reach out to your child’s teacher. Some classes have several volunteers, some do not have any, so if you feel comfortable reading in any class, please let us know.

We have had a lot of sickness this January. Some of you have asked about school exclusion guidelines. We have posted the school exclusion guidelines from Public Health on our school website. As always, attendance is important, and we want children to be at school. However, if your child is sick, they need to be at home.

February 28^th is Pink Shirt Day, a day we celebrate kindness. If you would like to order a pink shirt for your child to wear on that day, we have pink shirts available for $7.50 online through school cash net (the same place where you order hot lunch). Shirts can only be purchased online. The deadline to order is January 30^th.
